Unexpected Free Time

Time flies, and my son became an elementary school student in April.
He finished his entrance ceremony last week, and today is the tense first day of class.
Surprisingly, he approached the boy sitting diagonally in front of him and said, 'Let's be friends,' and reported back that they became friends.
Well done.
And my daughter is in the 3rd grade. I was relieved to find out she seems to have made new friends too.
Before
Until March, we had a combination of kindergarten and elementary school schedules, which led to quite a bit of time discrepancy in the morning and evening.
Kindergarten had a bus pick-up at 9 AM, so my son could wake up at 8 AM, but for elementary school, he needed to leave the house by 8 AM, and considering my daughter needed time to do her hair, she had to wake up at 6:30 AM.
That meant the parents also naturally had to wake up at 6:30 AM.
In the evening, my daughter went to bed at 9 PM while my son went to bed with us around 11 PM to midnight.
After my daughter fell asleep, my son played games, which often had my daughter grumbling.
Her catchphrase was, 'Why do I have to go to bed early! It's unfair that only XXX gets to stay up!'
With parents waking up at 6:30 and going to bed around 11 PM to midnight, there was hardly any free time.
Now
Now that both children are in elementary school, the time discrepancy has disappeared.
In the morning, both wake up at 6:30 AM and leave by 8 AM, and in the evening, they both go to bed at 9 PM.
My daughter is pleased that there is no longer game time for her brother at night.
And what's great is that I now have my own free time from 8 AM to 10 AM and after 9 PM at night!
What can I say? It's the best to have this time.
I can even write such a trivial article.
I wonder when was the last time I had this kind of time. Maybe three years ago?
I didn't expect this at all, and suddenly having free time like this makes me genuinely happy.
What to Do
Having this time, I want to use it meaningfully.
I have quite a few books that I haven't read, so I will read.
I haven't been able to write much on the blog, so I will write.
I'm also starting to feel like doing some individual development again. Let's do it.
Conclusion
I mentioned that I wasn't expecting this, but when I thought about it and read my New Year's resolution article, I found out I actually did expect it. Haha
Until now, the elementary school kids left at 8 AM, and the kindergarten ones left at 9 AM, so the mornings felt busy from 6:30 AM to after 9 AM, but now that both are in elementary school, will it be a bit calmer after 8 AM?

- 2024年スタート早々、大変なことが立て続けに起こっていますね。昨年の夏にちょうど金沢に旅行にいったばかりだったのでショックが大きいです。被災された方、一刻も早く復興されることを祈っております。

However, I really didn't expect the free time at night.
I'm so happy. Really.
